James Suckling awards Pago El Espino with 93 points

James Suckling, former Editor in Chief of Wine Spectator and his team have reviewed more than 2500 wines from all over Spain.
After two intense weeks of tasting, the team underlines “the consistency that the majority of important Spanish wine regions are now achieving with their red wines.” As a matter of wine style, “it is much more about balance where red wines focus on pure fruit with a pronounced but not dominant oak character from barrel aging”. The tasting team recognized this quality in all our red wines as they have all been awarded with +91 points.
Awarded 93 points, Pago El Espino reflects perfectly this harmony where the intensity and smoothness of its tannins, the complexity of its fruity aromas and its freshness - characteristic of the Serranía de Ronda – combine perfectly. The ageing, realized in large French oak barrels of 300 and 500 litres, protects well its fruity character thanks to a subtle integration of the oaky flavours, offering an elegant wine.
We invite you to take part in a unique experience in the heart of a beautiful nature: a picnic in the middle of our vineyard, in the shade of a century-old holm oak.
